Aldis Hodge Girlfriend

Aldis is in a relationship with Harmonia Rosales who is an Afro-Cuban American artist. They are both avid art lovers at it seems like art brought them together.

Harmonia received a lot of attention after she recreated Michelangelo’s masterpiece, “The Creation of Adam” but reimagining God and the First Man as black women. At the time she said;

“I wanted to take a significant painting, a widely recognised painting that subconsciously or consciously conditions us to see white male figures as powerful and authoritative and flip the script, establish a counter-narrative.

White figures are a staple in classic art featured in major museums. They are the “masters” of the masterpieces. Why should that continue?

When you consider that all human life came out of Africa, the Garden of Eden and all, then it only makes sense to paint God as a black woman, sparking life in her own image.”

Aldis Hodge Fake Eye

Aldis doesn’t have a fake eye in real life but his character Decourcy Ward on ‘City on a Hill’ has one.

In a scene, he tells Jackie Rohr that the reason he changed his mind about working with him is that  “You’d said something, reminded me of when I was a kid. My father, he worked for the SCLC. He knew King. He was in Memphis when King was shot. When I was a kid, he’d come home getting his head kicked in by the Bull Connors of the world. And he beat the living sh-t out of us.”

He then pulls out his fake eye and holds it in his hand to show Jackie.
