Andile Jali Biography

Andile Ernest Jali who is popularly known as Andile Jali is a SouthAfrican footballer born on 10th April 1990 in Matatiele, Eastern Cape in South Africa. He plays for Bafana Bafana as a midfielder. On 8th June 2018, he signed with Premier soccer league champions Mamelodi Sundowns. He is a former Orlando Pirates midfielder.

Andile Jali Wife

Jali is married to Nonhle Ndala who is a fitness trainer and reality show star.  In November 2018 it was alleged that Andeli chocked his wife after accusing her of not sleeping at home in a domestic violence squabble at their home in Pretoria. This was after Ndala also accused Jali of not sleeping at home.

Ndala claimed that Jali was enraged and even threatened to kill her during a fight allegedly witnessed by their estate’s security guard.

Ndala reported the assault to the police and Jali also opened a case of common assault against his wife. Jali later dropped the assault case against Ndala.

Andile Jali Children

Andile and his wife Nonhle have three children; a daughter born in 2015 (from Nonhle Ndala previous marriage) and twins, Andile Junior and Amarè, born in June 2017.

Andile Jali Mamelodi Sundowns

On 8th June 2018, Andeli Jali signed a five-year contract with premier league Soccer League champions Mamelodi Sundowns. On Friday afternoon Jali was seen posing with Pitso Mosimane, Sundowns coach, a picture which was posted on Sundowns official twitter acount.

“At last this deal is done‚ it’s been a long process but I’m relieved and I can relax before the season starts!‚” Jali was quoted in Sundowns Twitter account.

“I feel good to have signed for Sundowns. At last, this deal is done. It’s been dragging for a long time. Now I can relax before the season starts. I have recovered from the injury, I am good to go. I passed the medicals. Now I am ready for Sundowns to tell me when to come to training. I didn’t come back to South Africa to relax and just say that I am done because I am coming from Europe,” Jali said. “I came to South Africa to win things, not to just relax and say that I am done. That’s why I came to Sundowns. I am here to show that I have that ‘thing’, to push other players to say that guys you can do it. I have learned a lot of things from my time in Belgium, especially how you bounce back from losing a game.You mustn’t lose hope until it’s done and you achieve your objective.” Dali said shorly after signing with Sundowns.

Andile Jali Career

He started his youth career in 2002 when he joined Hot Spurs until 2005. In 2006 he joined Matat Professionals where he played for one year. In 2007 he made his first professional deal by joining Pretoria University. He made 29 appearances scoring one goal for the Pretoria side.

Andile Jali Orlando Pirates

In 2009 he joined Orlando Pirates, he wore jersey number 15. Jali was part of the Orlando Pirates squad that won three trophies in one season, making a history in South African football, under Dutch coach Rudd Krol.

The team went on to defend two of their trophies won in the previous year and also win another to make it a back to back treble. Jali established himself as one of the most important players in the Orlando Pirates squad by winning several trophies while at the club. Due to his success touted as the future captain of the South African national team (Bafana Bafana).

Andile Jali International Career

He was a member of the South African squad at the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Egypt. During the 2010 world Cup he was named in the preliminary 30-man South African squad for the 2010 FIFA World Cup but missed out on the 23-man squad because of a mild heart condition which ruled him out of the competition.

In 2015 he was called up the 2015 African Cup of Nations, playing in South Africa’s games against Algeria, Ghana and Senegal in the competition.

Andile Jali KV Oostende

Jali joined KV Oostende in 2014 and spent four and half years. In April 2018 he left the club on mutual consent. The club released a statement saying jali “leaves with immediate effect to his native South Africa”. They added that he had sustained a knee injury a few weeks ago that has effectively ended his season.
