So now I have my dream job, I feel lucky.”

Andrew is a presenter and a reporter for BBC World News since September 2017. He is based in London, United Kingdom. As a reporter, he works for BBC Points West, BBC NewsChannel, BBC 1 O’clock News, 6 O’clock News and BBC News at Ten. He also makes news packages for BBC regional and network bulletins in the UK and BBC World. Additionally, Andrew worked for BBC Radio 4, Radio 5Live, The Today Programme and PM.

Andrew’s first job for the BBC was as a reporter in Guernsey for BBC Spotlight Channel Islands. He later joined Points West in March 2006 and started presenting in October 2007. Andrew began his journalism career as a video journalist in January 2006.

When he is not infront of the camera, either covering stories or presenting Points West, he’s often to be seen indulging his love of running, by jogging around Leigh Woods or the Downs in Bristol. Andrew also loves going back to his home town of Cambridge and spending a sunny day punting on the river. Plant runs the Bristol and Bath half marathons every year. His best time is 1:47, set in Bath in 2008.
