Debra Robinson is the wife to James Ingram, the two time Grammy award-winning singer, songwriter, record producer and instrumentalist who died on 29th January 2019 from brain cancer. The two got married in 1975.
James revealed in a 2010 interview that he still sings for Debra an even went ahead and sang “What’s it all about, Debbie?” to the tune of the “Alfie” theme song.
“I sing to her on a daily basis. Whatever’s on the radio.”

Debrah was married to James Ingram until his death on 29th January 2019. James was a two-time Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, record producer and instrumentalist who began his career in the 70s. He was one of the featured soloists for all-star choir that recorded the song; We Are the World’ in 1985 singing parts between Kenny Rogers, Tina Turner, and Ray Charles. He won two Grammy’s one for his duet with Michael McDonald “Yah Mo B There” and another for “100 Ways.”
James died of a form of brain cancer on 29th January 2019.
The news of his death was broken by Debbie Allen who is James friend and partner to the Celestial Choir.
