Jake Humphrey Biography
Jake Humphrey is a British TV presenter, journalist, and businessman. He is well known as a presenter of CBBC’s BAMZOOKi, and BBC Sport’s coverage of the Formula 1 Grand Prix between 2009 and 2012.
He is the Director of Whisper Films, the main presenter of BT Sport football coverage. In addition, he is the host of the High-Performance Podcast. He currently lives in Keswick, southwest of Norwich. He is a huge supporter of his neighborhood football team, Norwich City.

Humphrey was born in Peterborough, the county of Cambridgeshire, England to her mother, Liz. Liz is a retired teacher. She is also a retired chief executive of Age Concern Norfolk. Humphrey has two siblings, a sister named Rachael and a brother called Thomas.
When Humphrey turned 9 years old, they moved as a family to Norwich. He was employed at McDonald’s but unfortunately, he was sacked due to his poor communication skills. Afterward, he worked as a waiter.

After failing his A-Levels, he obtained a work experience job at Anglia Television, an ITV East of England contractor, while studying for his resits the following year. He joined Anglia full-time as a runner after obtaining his A-Levels the following summer, then transferred to Rapture TV to host the first iteration of G@mers. Humphrey began his career as an assistant host on CBBC’s Against All Odds, before becoming the main host of Rule The School in 2001.
The next year, he became the principal host of Against All Odds and a studio presenter for CBBC. He and Holly Willoughby co-hosted CBBC’s coverage of Fame Academy in late 2002. They also hosted Comic Relief’s celebrity version in 2003. With Sophie McDonnell and Caroline Flack, Jake also hosted the 2005 and 2007 Comic Relief episodes of Fame Academy.
In 2005, Humphrey began his career as a match reporter for BBC Radio 5 Live, and in 2006, he presented coverage of the Commonwealth Games in Australia. In November 2006, he took over as host of Football Focus from regular host Manish Bhasin, who was covering the 2006 Ashes. During the 2007 Cricket World Cup, he covered for Bhasin once more.
