Kathryn is also the co-founder and president of Quadrivium, James recently resigned from the board of News Corporation citing “disagreements over editorial content”.
Kathryn is the co-founder and president of Quadrivium, which supports practical, evidence-based solutions for critical societal problems. She also a founding board member of SciLine and co-chairs the Oceans and Communications committees as a trustee of the Environmental defense fund.
She also previously served on the advisory board of the Meta-Research Innovation Center at Stanford University and the Board of Trustees at Rockefeller University.

Ms. Murdoch has been an active trustee of the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) since 2009 and is co-chair of both the Communications and Oceans committees. She helped to successfully promote the inclusion of key language in the EU Common Fisheries Policy and has been an advocate for ocean policy reform in a broader capacity as well, speaking and writing about solutions that reverse the degradation of global fisheries and the resulting impact on health and quality of life.
Prior to becoming involved with the EDF, Ms. Murdoch was active in a range of programs and initiatives aimed at meeting the environmental and economic challenges of the 21st Century. In her work as Director of ReSource 2012, she oversaw the creation of a conference that brokered relationships between major investors and change-makers from the government, finance, business, economics, and military sectors to explore new strategies for increased global prosperity at a time of diminishing resources.
