Alberto Baillères (Alberto Baillères González) is a Mexican billionaire businessman born on 22nd August 1931 in Mexico. He is the chairman of Grupo BAL,a conglomerate of Mexican companies involved in mining, trade, finance, agriculture and health, and of ITAM.

In 1967 at the age of 28 he inherited Group BAL following the death of his father. Grupo BAL is a conglomerate of Mexican companies involved in mining, trade, finance, agriculture and health.
Grupo BAK controls a large number of companies including Peñoles, which is the the world’s largest silver producer and second important Mexican mining company.
He is also the head member of the board of ITAM, one of Mexico’s top higher education centers and thinktank, and owner of other businesses related with financial services, agriculture and bullfighting.
He also owns El Palacio de Hierro, a chain of boutique stores. They sell hand stitched designer bags and jewel studded watch.

Alberto’s son, Alejandro Baillères Gual, is also a Mexican businessman and the CEO of Grupo Nacional Provincial. He is also a director of Peñoles and Grupo BAL and of Fresnillo plc.

Bailleres is the owner of a Gulfstream G650 private jet, with registration XA-BAL. The jet was delivered in 2012 and has a list price of US$ 65 million.
Mayan Queen IV/ Alberto Baillères Yacht
He is the owner of the 92m yacht Mayan Queen IV which is one of the largest superyachts in the world worth about $200 million.
Despite the vessel’s fame and regular international tours few people have had the privildge to view the interior as no interior photos are available.
On 31st May 2018 a 20 year Australian Instagram model, Sinead McNamara, was found unconscious on the Mayan Queen IV tangled up in rope. She later died in the helicopter while being transported to the hospital.
McNamara was working on the yacht for the last four months. Ms McNamara’s mother Kylie and sister Lauren were en route to join her in Greece for a holiday.
