In the wake of the deadly hurricane Maria in September 2017, the federal government (@realdonaldtrump neglected our fellow American citizens in PR. Without necessary federal aid, the island had not fully recovered and power still hadn’t been fully restored. Now PR has just been rocked by earthquakes. The physical destruction is immense, but the psychological trauma is becoming more deadly. We’ve already seen that @realdonaldtrump seems to have no care about American citizens on the island and those messages are creating a dangerous sense of despair and hopelessness. Puerto Rico, we are with you. We will be by your side and sending resources along the way as we continue to marvel at your remarkable resilience and as we build back and build a better, stronger Puerto Rico than ever before 🇺🇸❤️🇵🇷
