Nomzamo Mbatha Parents
Nomzamo Mbatha mother is Manatuku Mbatha but in 2014 a Mpumalanga woman, Elizabeth Mbatha, claimed that Nomzamo was her daughter. The woman claimed that she gave birth in 1987 to a daughter named Nomzamo but was separated from the father, Mkhashelwa Zinya, from Bizana in the Eastern Cape, who then took her daughter.
Nomzamo family refuted the claims as his father was Skuta Nxumalo who hailed from KwaMashu and had never worked in Bizana. In March 2017 Manatuku said that the allegations were an embarrassment to her as “the mother who conceived her, carried her for nine months and gave birth to her”.
“It was with shock and anger that my family first heard of this absurd and lunatic story back in 2014. It angered not only us as a family, but the community of KwaMashu C and F section, where my daughter, Nomzamo Nonzwakazi, was born and raised. They harass my daughter with threatening calls and messages. Nomzamo’s father passed away 10 years ago. She was extremely close to him. She was the apple of his eye. He’d be more than upset at this lie. This poor lady might seriously have lost a daughter, but it’s just not my daughter. She needs to engage the right people and refrain from harassing my daughter through the media. We owe no one an explanation because we know our truth,” Manatuku said.
Nomzamo Mbatha Engaged
nomzamo mbatha was once engaged as she revealed this during an interview on Expresso on the segment of ‘Never have i ever’. She was asked if she has ever been engaged and she said, ‘I have been engaged. Yes, I have had a rock on my finger, and I don’t plan on having a rock on my finger ever again.” she did not reveal the name of the fiancee in question.
Nomzamo Mbatha and Khaya Mthethwa
Khaya and Nomzamo were once an item but they later broke up on allegations that Jessica Nkosi snatched Khaya; the rumors were never verified.
In December 206 during an interview on Zaziwa Khaya had this to say about the whole situation
“I think, for me, the position I wanna take ngayo (on it), is that between Nomzamo and I, it becomes harder to speak out about something once kwaba involved imindeni (families were involved).”
When Pearl Modiadie asked him if he had paid lobola he didn’t deny nor confirm.
“Once kwaba involved imindeni, kubanzima (it becomes difficult). Out of ukuhlonipha (respect), I would always rather say, I’d rather not talk about it because indlela engizobuka ngayo isimo, nendlala abazobuka ngayo isimo (they way I’ll look at the situation, and they way they’ll look at the situation) I’ll never… Like I said earlier on, it’s easy to just throw shade and harder to take responsibility.”
Nomzamo Mbatha and Maps Maponyane
Nomzamo Mbatha and Maps Maponyane have been rumored to be involved romantically although they have never confirmed or denied the rumors. In May 2018 they were rumors that they had split as Maps Maponyane had cheated. Nomzamo Mbatha took to twitter to casually dent the claims by twitting Maps.

Some people claimed that she gets paid for her philanthropic work and to make appearances. Nomzamo responded to one tweet setting the record straight.
Sisi
I’m saddened at your unfounded and completely untrue statement. I do not get paid to advocate and show up for the causes I believe in. If you’re looking for a pretty face in the public eye that stands for nothing, I’m not the one
You’re spreading lies! I hope you’re proud https://t.co/YzRg9gA9jb— Nomzamo Mbatha (@NomzamoMbatha) July 23, 2018
Some of the Twitter Reactions
There's a difference between acting like an activist and living like one. You know deep down the category you belong to.☺☺☺

I was irked by the Cosmo “activism” edition with Nomzamo on the cover but I balanced myself because it’s a glossy magazine not the Mail and Guardian. They sell glamour and what is relevant at the moment. Not hard-hitting socio-political journalism. Let it go, guys.
