Samuel Arredondo Biography
Samuel Arredondo formerly known as Punch is an American-born South Korean K-Pop singer and actor. He is a former member of hip hop duo 1Punch and the son of the car dealer and owner Family Motors Autor Group Jose Arredondo who was killed on July 15, 2019 in his home in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Samuel is signed to Brave Entertainment.
Samuel made his t appearances to the public aged eleven when he appeared in the live broadcast series Seventeen TV as a trainee under Pledis Entertainment. He, however, left the agency in 2013. Samuel was also a contestant in the second season of the popular survival show Produce 101. During the first elimination, he was ranked 2nd but did not make the final cut for the 11-member team, finally ranking 18th overall. In 2018 he was a contestant on The Collaboration Season 2.

In 2015 Samuel together with rapper One formed a hip hop duo group named 1Punch under a collaboration between Brave Entertainment and D-Business Entertainment, taking ‘PUNCH’ as his stage name. In 2016 Samuel under the name Punch collaborated with Silentó to release the single “Spotlight” which earned them the 26th Seoul Music Award for Global Collaboration.

On August 2, 2017 Samuel debuted his solo career by releasing his mini-album, Sixteen. On November 16, 2017, he released his first full-length album ‘Eye Candy’, with a total of ten tracks including the lead single “Candy”.
Samuel signed a contract with ‘Pony Canyon’ in December 2017 for his Japanese promotion. He was set to officially debut in Japan on February 7, 2018 with his first Japanese single, “Sixteen (Japanese Ver.)”.
Samuel released his second mini-album ‘One’ in March 2018. He released his second Japanese single, “Candy (Japanese Ver.)” in April 2018.

Samuel father is Mexican American Bakersfield car dealer and owner of Family Motors Auto Group Jose Arredondo. He was killed by stabbing on July 15, 2019 at his home in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
Jose was born in Mexico in a family of 11 as the 4th born. His family immigrated to the United States illegally and at the age of 17, he was working in a car wash at Mission Hills Dealership.
In 1990 he bought an auto-body shop and a convenience store in Los Angeles where he stayed for three years. In 1993 he bought the Auto Mall in Bakersfield, after hearing the car lot was losing money. He, however, became successful and has since expanded his dealership group by adding TaftFamily Motors, Family Used Cars, Delano Family Motors, Delano Family Motors Hyundai, Fillmore Family Motors and Santa Paula Family Motors.
